Reportedly,
Nigeria experienced 3,500 cyber attacks within the last one year, with more
than 70% success rate and a loss of $450 million.

Dr. Vincent Olatunji, Acting Director General of
the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) made the
disclosure.

Olatunji disclosed this during a capability and
capacity building training workshop organized by NITDA in partnership with its
Malaysian counterpart, Malaysia Cyber Security Agency.

NITDA boss advised that measures should be taken
to mitigate the capacity of cyber criminals from taking advantage of the
environment.
