South African Supreme Court
says the Olympic and Paralympic gold medalist, Oscar Pistorius, would face
sentencing in June, following his conviction for murdering his girlfriend.

From Johannesburg, it was
reported that sentenced sentence on Pistorius will be passed between June 13
and 17.

Pistorius who is also as “Blade
Runner” faces a minimum of 15-year jail sentence if convicted for the carbon
fibre prosthetic blades he used to race.

The Court had in December
upgraded the 29-year-old Paralympian’s sentence on appeal to murder from
“culpable homicide”, South Africa’s equivalent of manslaughter, which he
received a 5-year jail term.
